Seven groups of people under the throne of Allah

    The Mighty Throne of Allah is above all the heavens and it is on the water.  Only Allah knows the greatness and capaciousness of the Throne. 
.

.
Surah Hud 11:7 And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: "You shall indeed be raised up after death," those who disbelieve would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious magic."
.
   The Throne of Allah is existed before the creation of heavens.  No one knows the shape and appearance of it but certainly it will not be similar to anything we have seen on earth.  Allah does not need a chair or throne to sit and administer all the affairs.  The Similitude of Hand of God which does not mean the shape of a hand but the management of the affairs.

Surah Ghafir 40:7 Those (angels) who bear the Throne (of Allah) and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) (saying): "Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire!

    There are seven groups of people who will be provided the shade under the Throne of Allah on the Day of Resurrection.  Prophet Muhammad (Sal) said: “Allah will give shade to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His.” [reported by Abu Hurairah (rd.),  narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.]
.
   1. A Just Ruler.  The concept of justice in Islam is very important. Justice means to give each the right he deserves: Muslim or non-Muslim, relative or stranger, friend or enemy.  This is not only theory but we have to practice. 
.
2. The youth who grew up in the worship of Allah.  Rasulullah (Sal) said: Take advantage of five matters before five other matters:  your youth before you become old; your health before you fall sick; your richness before you become poor; your free time before you become busy; and your life before your death.” (narrated by Imam Ahmad) 
.
3. A man whose heart is attached to the mosque.  Prophet Muhammad encouraged believers to come to the mosque saying:  “Praying in the mosque has 25-27 times more reward than praying at homes”. (Bukhari and Muslim)  The Angels do not cease supplicating for him as long as he remains at his place of Prayer.  (Bukhari)  
.
4. Two people who love each other for Allah’s sake.  We love another because of his/her deen.  It does not matter how the person looks like, how the person dresses, rich or poor, where the person comes from – perhaps we are not comfortable with many things about the person, but we do love the person for his/her Iman.  This is loving for Allah’s sake. 
.
5.  A person who is tempted by opposite gender but says, “I fear Allah.” The temptations which lead to burning in the Fire will be halted when one says, “I fear Allah” to prevent the soul from inclination. 
.
6.  The person who gives in charity and discloses it, even his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity. 
.
7.  A person who remembered Allah in private and shed tears.  When the humble heart turns to Allah for repentance, our eyes overflowed with tears recalling every sins we committed.

.
Surah Al-Haqqah 69:17 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.
.
   May Allah (Sub) indeed enable us to be among those whom He shades under His
Throne on a day when there is no shade but His shade!

คุตบะฮฺมัสยิดฮารูณ

ท่านพี่น้องผู้ศรัทธาที่เคารพ                                                วันศุกร์ที่ 20 กรกฎาคม 2555

    อัลลอฮฺ  ทรงสร้างจักรวาลอันกว้างใหญ่ไพศาล แต่ละชั้นฟ้า และแต่ละชั้นแผ่นดินมีหน้าที่การงานของมัน  และพระองค์ทรงให้มีบัลลังก์ของพระองค์อยู่เหนือน้ำ  ซึ่งอยู่เหนือทั้งชั้นฟ้าและแผ่นดินทั้งหลาย

ซูเราะฮฺ ฮูด 11 : 7
และพระองค์คือผู้สร้างชั้นฟ้าทั้งหลายและแผ่นดินในระยะ 6 วัน และบัลลังก์ของพระองค์อยู่เหนือน้ำ
เพื่อพระองค์จะทดสอบพวกท่านว่า ผู้ใดในหมู่พวกท่านมีการงานที่ดีเยี่ยม และหากเจ้า (มุฮัมมัด)
กล่าวว่า แท้จริงพวกท่านจะถูกให้ฟื้นคืนชีพขึ้นมา หลังจากที่ได้ตายไปแล้ว
แน่นอนบรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาจะกล่าวว่า นี่มิใช่อื่นใดเลย นอกจากเล่ห์กลอย่างชัดแจ้ง
    บัลลังก์และน้ำ ทั้งสองสิ่งนี้เป็นสิ่งที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาก่อนชั้นฟ้าและแผ่นดิน แต่บัลลังก์ของอัลลอฮฺ  ทรงอยู่สูงสุด คำว่า อัรชฺ ของอัลลอฮฺ   มีความหมายหลายอย่าง เช่น ที่ประทับ บัลลังก์ หรือ หลังคา ฝ้า เพดานของสวรรค์ ซึ่งให้ความหมายสอดคล้องกันว่า อัรชฺ นั้น คือจุดสูงสุดของสวรรค์ ซึ่งอยู่เหนือสวรรค์ชั้น ฟิรเดาสฺ ขึ้นไปอีก หากเราจะจินตนาการว่า บัลลังก์ของพระองค์ เป็นดั่งเช่น บัลลังก์ของศาล หรือเก้าอี้ นั้นไม่ถูกต้อง เพราะอัลลอฮฺ   ไม่เหมือนกับสิ่งที่ถูกสร้างทั้งมวล   การประทับบนบัลลังก์ของพระองค์นั้น ก็ไม่เหมือนกับการที่มนุษย์นั่งบนเก้าอี้อย่างแน่นอน ดั่งเช่นพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ก็ไม่เหมือนกับมือของมนุษย์หรือมือใดๆที่เราเคยเห็นมาในโลกนี้ ดั่งเช่น คำว่ามืออาชีพ ก็ไม่ได้หมายถึงลักษณะของมือ แต่หมายถึง ความสามารถและทักษะของการทำงาน ดังนั้น บัลลังก์ของอัลลอฮฺ  จึงกว้างใหญ่ และไม่สามารถอธิบายได้ด้วยคำพูด แต่ความยิ่งใหญ่อลังการของอัลลอฮฺ ที่อยู่เหนือน้ำนั้น มีบรรดามลาอิกะฮฺเป็นผู้แบกบัลลังก์ และเรียงรายล้อมรอบบัลลังก์ โดยไม่มีผู้ใดรู้จำนวนที่แน่นอน นอกจากอัลลอฮฺ

ซูเราะฮฺ ฆอฟิร 40 : 7
บรรดาผู้แบกบัลลังก์ และผู้ที่อยู่รอบๆบัลลังก์ ต่างก็แซ่ซ้องสดุดี ด้วยการสรรเสริญพระเจ้าของพวกเขา
และศรัทธาต่อพระองค์ และขออภัยโทษให้แก่บรรดาผู้ศรัทธา ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของเรา
 พระองค์ท่านทรงแผ่ความเมตตา และความรอบรู้ไปทั่วทุกสิ่ง
ขอพระองค์ทรงโปรดอภัยแก่บรรดาผู้ลุแก่โทษ และดำเนินตามแนวทางของพระองค์ท่าน
และทรงคุ้มครองพวกเขาให้พ้นจากการลงโทษแห่งไฟนรก
    อัลลอฮฺ  ได้กล่าวเกี่ยวกับความเมตตาของอัลลอฮฺ  ที่ทรงโปรดอภัยแก่บรรดาผู้ลุแก่โทษ ที่รายงานโดย อบูฮุรอยเราะฮฺ  ว่า “อัลลอฮฺ จะทรงประทานร่มเงาจากบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ แก่คนเจ็ดจำพวกในวันฟื้นคืนชีพ ซึ่งไม่มีร่มเงาอันใดนอกจากพระองค์” บันทึกโดยบุคอรี และมุสลิม บุคคลทั้งเจ็ดที่ได้กล่าวมานี้ ได้แก่
.
①ผู้ปกครองที่เป็นธรรม อิสลามเน้นความยุติธรรมเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ สิทธิและเสรีภาพสำหรับมุสลิม และที่ไม่ใช่มุสลิม ญาติพี่น้องหรือคนแปลกหน้า ก็จะได้รับความยุติธรรม แม้แต่เพื่อนหรือศัตรูก็เช่นกัน
.
② คนหนุ่มสาวที่เติบโตมาในการทำอิบาดะฮฺต่ออัลลอฮฺ  อยู่ตลอด ท่านนบีมุฮัมมัด  สอนว่า ให้ใช้ประโยชน์จาก 5 ประการแรก ก่อน 5 ประการหลัง  นั่นคือ วัยหนุ่มสาวก่อนที่จะแก่ชรา สุขภาพที่แข็งแรงก่อนที่จะล้มป่วย ความร่ำรวยก่อนที่จะยากจน เวลาว่างก่อนที่จะยุ่งเหยิงและชีวิตของเราก่อนที่จะตาย (บันทึกโดยอีหม่ามอะฮฺหมัด)
.
③ ผู้ซึ่งหัวใจของเขาผูกพันกับมัสยิด ท่านนบีมุฮัมมัด  สอนว่า  การละหมาดในมัสยิดได้ภาคผลมากกว่าการทำที่บ้านถึง 25-27 เท่า   บรรดามลาอิกะฮฺก็จะไม่หยุด ขอพรให้เขา มัสยิดจึงเป็นจุดศูนย์รวมของชุมชนมุสลิมที่ดึงดูดให้คนทุกผู้ทุกวัยเข้ามาประกอบศาสนกิจ และรำลึกถึงอัลลอฮฺ  
.
④ ผู้คนที่รักใคร่ซึ่งกันและกันเพื่ออัลลอฮฺ จึงไม่จำเป็นว่าคนคนนั้นจะมีหน้าตาเป็นอย่างไร สวมใส่ชุดแบบไหน จนหรือรวย หรือมาจากที่ใด ซึ่งเราอาจจะไม่ชอบหลายอย่าง แต่เราก็รักเขาที่ อีหม่านของเขา และนี่คือความรักเพื่ออัลลอฮฺ  
.
⑤ ผู้ที่ถูกยั่วยวนจากเพศตรงข้าม และเขากล่าวว่า “ฉันกลัวอัลลอฮฺ”   ผู้คนยุคนี้มากมายที่ทำให้วิญญาณถูกทำลายจากการถูกเย้ายวน แต่ผู้คนที่เอาชนะสิ่งเหล่านี้ได้ด้วยความกลัวที่มีต่ออัลลอฮฺ   เขาก็จะปลอดภัย
.
⑥ผู้ซึ่งบริจาคโดยไม่เปิดเผย ขนาดมือซ้ายของเขายังไม่รู้ว่าเขาได้บริจาคอะไรไปด้วยมือขวา การประกาศว่าได้บริจาคนั้นไม่ผิด และไม่มีข้อห้าม แต่เป็นการดีกว่าถ้าจะบริจาคโดยไม่เปิดเผย
.
⑦ ผู้ที่รำลึกถึงอัลลอฮฺและสะอื้นไห้ในที่ลับตาคน  เราหันหน้าของเราสู่ความเมตตาของอัลลอฮฺ   ในขณะที่น้ำตาได้ปรากฏขึ้นในดวงตาของเรา เนื่องจากการสำนึกผิดในบาป หรือร้องไห้กับอัลลอฮฺ   ในที่ลับตาคน เมื่อได้รำลึกถึงเมตตาของพระองค์

ซูเราะฮฺ อัลหากเกาะฮฺ 69 : 17
และมะลักก็จะปรากฏอยู่บนเวหา
และ (มลาอิกะฮฺ) จำนวนแปดท่านจะทูนบัลลังก์
แห่งพระเจ้าของเจ้าไว้เบื้องบนพวกเขาในวันนั้น
.
    เมื่อพิจารณาดูบุคคลทั้ง 7 ประเภท ที่จะได้รับความเมตตาจากอัลลอฮฺ   โดยการได้รับร่มเงาจากบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ในวันที่ไม่มีร่มเงาอื่นใดนอกจากพระองค์ เราจะพบว่าพวกเขาสมควรแล้วที่จะได้รับความเมตตาเช่นนี้ ในวันที่ดวงอาทิตย์นั้นจะอยู่ใกล้ อาจจะเป็นเพียงแค่ไม่กี่กิโลเมตร ขนาดปัจจุบันนี้ ดวงอาทิตย์อยู่ห่างออกไป 149 ล้านกิโลเมตร เรายังสามารถสัมผัสกับความร้อนได้

Fear Allah and be patient

      Fear is the word that we feel in our heart.  People fear the threat from other people, fear the unseen in the dark, fear the distress of poverty and etc.  Actually, these fears are created by our thoughts when we fear.

Surah Al-Imran 3:175 It is only Shaitan(Satan) that suggests to you the fear of his Auliya [Supporters and friends (polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger, Muhammad)] ; so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers.
.   
It is not the words or illusions of people that make us fear but it is the inner feeling or our thought that creates fear.  Allah (Sub) Teach us to fear Allah and we will not fear others.  Others may threat us but Allah will not Threat but Punish or Reward whomever He Please. 
.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:155 And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirun(the patient).
 .
 The tool to handle fear is Fear itself.  But fear Allah and be patient. 
    For example, in the case of Prophet Musa (A.s), when he committed his term in Madyan and traveled to Egypt.  He saw the light on the mountain and thought that the fire would warm up his family so he went up to catch the fire.  But that was not he thought, it wasn’t just the light …….  Allah (Sub) told Musa (A.s) to take off his shoes since that was a holy place.  We also take off our shoes while entering the Mosque.  Allah asked Musa what was in his right hand.  Musa replied it was a rod he used to beat the leaves for his flock of sheep.  This is to confirm that there is nothing special about that rod.

Surah Ta-Ha 20:19-20    19 :  (Allah) said : “Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!”      
 20 : He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly.
    When Musa threw it on the ground, it tuned into a snake.  The fear had developed in his mind.  This is real with the Command of Allah.  While Musa was trembling with fear, Allah further Teach him:
Surah Ta-Ha 20:21 Allah said : “Grasp it and fear not ; We shall return it to its former state,
    Seeing with plain eyes that the wooden rod had turned into snake and then he had to catch it with his bare hand.  This is the moment of truth for believers.  Listen to Allah’s Command to catch it and have no fear, Musa caught it and it turned back to wooden stick.  The courage is there while we are in the state of fear. And Allah (Sub) Teach Prophet Musa that courage overcomes all fear.   Obey Allah and be patient enough to do what Allah Order.
Surah Ta-Ha 20:67-68   67 : So Musa (Moses) conceived fear in himself.

68 : We (Allah) said : “Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand.

There were a lot of magicians that threw their robes and sticks on the ground and they seemed to move like snakes.  Though they did not turn into real snake but the illusion really made Musa trembled with fear.  But Allah Strengthen Musa by telling him not to fear and that he will win.   Therefore, for all of us, we can have the courage even we are in the state of fear.  So improve our Iman , be patient and fear Allah.

คุตบะฮฺมัสยิดฮารูณ

ความกลัวมีไว้ให้มนุษย์ระมัดระวังตัว และไม่ประมาท  แต่มนุษย์มักจะกลัวในสิ่งต่างๆมากมายจนไม่กล้าที่จะทำในสิ่งถูกต้อง กลัวทั้งคำขู่ ความมืดมน ความลำบาก ความน่าสะพรึงกลัวในภาพที่ได้พบเห็น ทั้งๆที่เป็นภาพลวงตาหรือมายากล ความกลัวเหล่านี้อาจจะฝังอยู่ในใจมนุษย์ตั้งแต่เล็กจนโต เราควรพิจารณาให้ดีว่าคำพูดของมนุษย์ทำให้เรากลัว หรือเราสร้างความกลัวขึ้นมาจากในใจของเราเอง  

ซูเราะฮฺ อาละอิมรอน 3 : 175
แท้จริงชัยฏอนนั้น เพียงขู่ได้ เฉพาะบรรดาผู้ที่ปฏิบัติตามมันเท่านั้น
ดังนั้น พวกเจ้าจงอย่ากลัวพวกเขา และจงกลัวข้าเถิด หากพวกเจ้าเป็นผู้ศรัทธา
เหล่าผู้ร้ายหรือมาร จะใช้วิธีต่างๆนาๆเพื่อให้คนกลัวมัน และปฏิบัติตามมัน  มันจะเอาความจนมาขู่ แล้วให้คนยอมรับระบบดอกเบี้ย ไม่ว่าจะรับโดยตรงหรือแบบเลี่ยงก็ตาม มันจะเอาความลำบากมาขู่ แล้วบังคับให้คนหลงทาง  มันจะเอาพรรคพวกมันมาขู่ให้คนกลัว เมื่อมีคนกลัวมันมากขึ้นๆ คนก็จะตกเป็นทาสมัน ลองสังเกตให้ดีว่าคำพูด หรือภาพลวงตานั้นจะไม่มีผลกระทบใดๆจนกว่าใจเราจะคิดถึงความกลัวนั้นๆขึ้นมา   ดังนั้นอัลลอฮฺ จึงสั่งไม่ให้กลัวพวกผู้ร้ายเหล่านี้  แต่ให้กลัวอัลลอฮฺ  เพราะพระองค์ไม่ขู่พระองค์ทรงตรัสจริงและมีอำนาจยิ่ง และพระองค์ยังทรงทดสอบผู้ศรัทธาด้วยความกลัวด้วย

ซูเราะฮฺ อัล-บะเกาะเราะฮฺ 2 : 155
และแน่นอน เราจะทดลองพวกเจ้าด้วยสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่งจากความกลัว และความหิวและด้วยความสูญเสีย 
    (อย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง) จากทรัพย์สมบัติ ชีวิต และพืชผล และเจ้าจงแจ้งข่าวดีแก่บรรดาผู้อดทนเถิด
ความกลัว ความโกรธ ความกระหายในโลกีย์วิสัย เป็นสิ่งที่อัลลอฮฺ จะทรงทดสอบพวกเรา แต่พระองค์ก็ทรงประทานเครื่องมือในการจัดการกับอารมณ์เหล่านี้ นั่นก็คือ การถือศีลอด และความอดทน บางครั้งความสูญเสียอาจเป็นรางวัลได้หากมีความอดทน เพราะอัลลอฮฺ  จะมีข่าวดีแก่ผู้ที่อดทนเสมอ ความอดทนเป็นเรื่องของการฝึกฝนอย่างต่อเนื่องและใช้เวลายาวนาน เมื่อมีความอดทนแล้วจะสามารถเอาชนะความกลัวได้
พิจารณาตัวอย่างจากนบีมูซา ท่านนบีมูซา  มีความกลัวอยู่มากมาย เช่น เมื่อครั้งที่ท่านได้เดินทางออกจากเมืองมัดยันเพื่อกลับไปอียิปต์ คืนหนึ่งท่านเห็นแสงประหลาดบนภูเขา จึงคิดว่าจะไปนำไฟมาจุดให้ความอบอุ่นแก่ครอบครัว แต่เมื่อท่านขึ้นไปบนภูเขานั้น จึงทราบว่านั่นไม่ใช่ไฟตามที่ท่านคิดไว้ แต่เป็นแสงหรือรัศมีเรืองรอง ทันใดนั้นอัลลอฮฺ  ก็ทรงตรัสกับ นบีมูซาให้ถอดรองเท้าออก ทุกวันนี้มุสลิมก็ถอดรองเท้าก่อนเข้าเขตมัสยิด
อัลลอฮฺ  ถามนบีมูซา ว่าอะไรอยู่ในมือขวา นบีมูซา ตอบว่า นั่นคือไม้เท้าไว้ใช้ตามปรกติ นี่คือสิ่งยืนยันว่าท่านนบีมูซา ไม่มีอภิหารใดๆในการใช้ไม้เท้าธรรมดาๆนี้

ซูเราะฮฺ ฎอฮา 20 : 19-20
19  : พระองค์ตรัสว่า จงโยนมันไปซิ โอ้มูซาเอ๋ย
20 : เขาจึงโยนมันลงไป แล้วมันก็ได้กลายเป็นงูเลื้อย
เมื่อนบีมูซา โยนไม้เท้าลงไปบนพื้น มันได้กลายเป็นงู เมื่อไม้กลายเป็นงูแล้วเลื้อยอย่างชัดเจน นบีมูซา จึงเกิดความกลัวอย่างที่สุด นี่ไม่ใช่มายากล นี่ไม่ใช่ภาพลวงตา     เพราะด้วยเดชานุภาพของอัลลอฮฺ   ไม้เท้าได้กลายเป็นงูจริงๆ ความกลัวขนาดนี้ย่อมทำให้เกิดอาการขวัญหนีดีฝ่อ แต่ที่น่าสนใจมากกว่านั้นคือในคำสั่งต่อมา

ซูเราะฮฺ ฎอฮา 20 :  21
พระองค์ตรัสว่า จงจับมันขึ้นมาและอย่ากลัว
เราจะให้มันกลับมาเป็นไม้เท้าตามสภาพก่อนของมัน
    ในเมื่อเห็นๆอยู่ว่า ไม้มันกลายเป็นงูไปแล้ว ความกลัวยังไม่ทันหาย  คราวนี้ต้องจับงูที่กำลังเลื้อย นี่คือช่วงเวลาวัดใจผู้ศรัทธา ความเชื่อมั่นในคำสั่งของอัลลอฮฺ  พระองค์ทรงสั่งว่าอย่ากลัว นบีมูซา รวบรวมความกล้าทั้งๆที่ก็ยังกลัวอยู่ จับงูตัวนั้นแล้วมันก็คืนสภาพเป็นไม้เท้า ตามพระบัญชาของอัลลอฮฺ  นบีมูซา ฝึกประสบการณ์จริงในการเอาชนะความกลัวด้วยความศรัทธาและความอดทน เอาชนะความกลัวด้วยความกล้า  และแน่นอน เหตุการณ์ในอนาคตต้องใช้ความศรัทธากล้าหาญฝ่าฟันความกลัวอีกมากมายไปให้ได้
.   
เมื่อครั้งที่นบีมูซา ต้องรับคำท้าจากฟิรอูนในการประลอง เพื่อให้ความจริงเป็นที่ประจักษ์   ครั้งนั้น มีนักมายากลโยนอุปกรณ์ของพวกเขาก่อน  ทันใดนั้น บรรดาเชือกและไม้เท้าดูประหนึ่งว่ามันเลื้อยได้  ข้อแตกต่างคือ อัลลอฮฺ    ทำให้ไม้เท้าของนบีกลายเป็นงู    แต่นักมายากลทำให้ดูประหนึ่งว่ามันเลื้อยได้  ถึงแม้ว่ามันเป็นมายากลก็ตาม แต่มันก็น่าตกใจพอที่จะทำให้นบีมูซา คิดกลัว

ซูเราะฮฺ ฎอฮา 20 : 67-68
67 : มูซาจึงรู้สึกกลัวขึ้นในตัวของเขา
68 : เรากล่าวว่า เจ้าอย่ากลัว แท้จริง เจ้าอยู่ในสภาพที่เหนือกว่า
    โดยธรรมชาติมนุษย์จะสร้างความกลัวขึ้นจากข้างในตัวของเขาเอง เมื่อเห็นสิ่งน่ากลัวเช่นนั้น แต่ อัลลอฮฺ  ทรงอยู่เคียงข้างผู้ที่อดทน และพระองค์ทรงให้กำลังใจแก่นบีมูซา ว่า อย่ากลัวและจะเอาชนะพวกนั้นได้  ดังนั้นเราทุกคนที่ศรัทธาก็สามารถกล้าทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้องได้    แม้จะยังมีความกลัวอยู่ ก็ตาม

      Fasting in the beginning of Islamic era, the acts of eating, drinking and going in to the wives were forbidden in the night of Ramadan after Isha Prayer or sleeping.  This made hardship for the followers of Rasulullah (Sal) including Umar (Rd.).  He complained to Rasulullah (Sal) regarding this and Allah (Sub) has revealed :
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:187.   It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts). They are Libas [i.e. body cover, or screen, or Sakan, (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with her - as in Verse 7:189) Tafsir At-Tabari], for you and you are the same for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He turned to you (accepted your repentance) and forgave you. So now have sexual relations with them and seek that which Allah has ordained for you (offspring), and eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night), then complete your Saum (fast) till the nightfall. And do not have sexual relations with them (your wives) while you are in I'tikaf (i.e. confining oneself in a mosque for prayers and invocations leaving the worldly activities) in the mosques. These are the limits (set) by Allah, so approach them not. Thus does Allah make clear His Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things, Allah's set limits, orders, etc.) to mankind that they may become Al-Muttaqun
      Now these acts are permitted throughout the night before day-dawn.  This relieves the tension as well as fear of the believers.  Since they betrayed themselves by going in to their wives during the night, it was a sinful deed.  They feared Allah’s anger would fall on them.  Allah forgave them by His Mercy and gave permission for the future. 
      Kaffarah is a penalty of atonement when the fasting is deliberately broken, without a valid reason through eating, drinking, smoking and sex.  The penalty is: 1. to set a slave free (or) 2. to fast for sixty consecutive days (or)3. to feed sixty poor people one average meal.  It is better to try not to break our fast without proper reasons. 
      Muslims anyhow are permitted to break the fast of Ramadan when there is a danger to their health. Fidaya or compensation meal will be given to the poor in case one is on traveling or ill and can not fast on that day.   And one’s fast must be made up later of the year.
      It is now permissible to use inhalers (used for Asthma) while fasting since it is not related to food or nutrition.  But if the condition is not improved after the use, then one should break his fast and meet the doctor immediately. 
      There are things that do not break the fast:  1. If anyone forgets that he is fasting and eats or drinks, he should complete his fast.  It is only Allah (Sub) who has fed him and given him drink (reported by Muslim).  2. Bathing. 3. Use of make up or facial cream. 4. Injections which is solely medical and not nutritional.  5. Brushing the teeth. 
      Muslim should be mindful about the time to break fast.  People who live in upper floors of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, with a height of 828 meters have to break their fast 2 minutes time difference in Dubai.  This is because at almost one Km high, they can still see the sun after it has set on the ground.  A similar problem nearly a thousand years ago, when asked if guards atop the Lighthouse of Alexandria should break their fast with the rest of the city.  The answer was that they could only break their fast when they see the sun has gone down by themselves.
      During the time of Taraweeh Prayer, there might be some who relax while the Imam is reciting Al-Quran and only join the prayer when the Imam is about to Rukua or bow.  This act is forbidden.
Surah An-Nisa 4.142. Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He Who deceives them. And when they stand up for As-Salat (the prayer), they stand with laziness and to be seen of men, and they do not remember Allah but little.
      Hope we are energetically ready for these special night prayers of Taraweeh. Narrated Abu Hurairah (Rd) Prophet Muhammad (Sal) said: “The most excellent prayer after that which is obligatory is the (late voluntary) night prayer.”  (reported by Muslim)

      It is a manifestation of Allah’s mercy on His slaves that He ordained fasting for us in order to purify ourselves from excessive tastes and to cleanse our hearts from lustful things. These days, Muslims all over the world are receiving the month of Ramadan; the month of forgiveness, merits and gifts; the month that gladdens the hearts of righteous people.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183 O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed  for  you as   it was prescribed   for  those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun.
      Fasting is prescribed for the people since the time of Adam (a.s).  Nabi Davud (a.s) fasted one day and broke his fast the other day, he fasted alternated days.  Nabi Isa (a.s) fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.  During the time of Rasulullah (Sal), Muslim fasts only 29 to 30 days. There is no fasting during the night.  Islam provides the most convenience way to fast. 
      “When the month of Ramadan enters, gates of Paradise are opened, gates of Hell are closed and devils are chained.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
      Fasting in this circumstance helps Muslim creates good habit.  It is self-restraint.  Fasting reduce the power of self or lust.
      Narrated Abu Huraira (Rd.): Allah’s Messenger (Sal) said, “If one does not abandon falsehood and action in accordance with it and foolishness, Allah has no need that he should abandon his food and drink.” (reported by Al-Bukhari and Abu Daud)
      Allah (Sub) Wish that Muslim practice mental restraint along with physical restraint.  But to control ourselves from backbiting, bad habits, and falsehood is more important than refrain from drinking and eating.  When both mental and physical restraint is achieved, we can become the pious.
      Rasulullah (Sal) emphasized that Sahur (taking a meal) should be taken just before dawn and never delay in breaking one’s fast, as a delayed breaking of fast is the practice of Jews and Christians.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185  The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar; Allah is the Most Great) on seeing the crescent of the months of Ramadan and Shawwal] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.
      Since  Torah  and  Injeel  was  sent  down  in Ramadan and also Al-Quran.  Then Al-Quran was slowly revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Sal) according to the related situations. Every Ramadan, Gibreel revised the revealed Al-Quran with the Prophet Muhammad (Sal).  And we find this special occasion of Tarawiah Prayer only in Ramadan.  As if it is a symbol of revision of Al-Quran in the Month of Ramadan.  In fact we recite and revise Al-Quran in every month.  
      In Ramadan, Rasulullah (Sal) spend in charity more than any month.  Charity raises one rank in front of Allah and he/she will be under the shade of charity during the day of Resurrection.
